Timothy A Cox

Timothy A. Cox, of Rock Tavern, NY and formerly of Pearl River, NY passed away in May, 2026.
Tim was born in Bronx, NY on April 23, 1957 to Thomas and Maureen Cox (nee Garthwaite). Tim grew up in Pearl River and graduated from Pearl River High school. He was a proud graduate of Fairfield University where he majored in accounting, and earned his Master’s in Finance from Columbia University. He went on to work for Prudential Insurance and the Thompson Corporation.
Tim has spent many years living in Newburgh, NY and most recently in Rock Tavern, NY.  He was an avid gardener and loved working outside and also enjoyed gourmet cooking as well. He was a great lover of art and had vast knowledge and appreciation of fine artwork and antiques. 
He is survived by his mother Maureen Cox a longtime resident of Pearl River, his 3 sisters Bridget Cox of Alexandria, Va., Deirdre Green (Joseph) of Palisades, NY, and Monica Muthig (Thomas and nephew Sean) of Pearl River, NY.
Tim is predeceased by his father Thomas Cox and his nephew Thomas Muthig.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11 A.M. at St. Margaret of Antioch Church in Pearl River.
