Thomas W Kaps

Thomas W. Kaps, loving husband, father and grandfather, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 25th.  He was 83 years old. 

Thomas was born in the Bronx to Edward and Anna Kaps. He worked as a carpenter for the NYC Transit Authority for 32 years.  He then went on to work at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers as a part time custodian for 2 years. 

Thomas will be remembered for his love of storytelling, history, woodworking, model building, drawing and the Daily News.  He dearly loved his family, especially his grandsons.

Thomas is predeceased by his brother, John Kaps. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Kaps, daughter, Stacy (Mike) Brown, grandsons, Jack and Liam and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.

 In lieu of flowers, we would like memorial donations sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
