Sylvia A. Sullivan

Sylvia Ann Sullivan of New City, NY,  passed away on the 19th of August 2023.  She was 96 years old.  Sylvia was born in Bronxville and raised in Scarsdale, NY to Frank and Sylvia Smith. Sylvia was a loving wife to Edward M Sullivan with whom she wed in 1952. A dedicated mother to Edward and Peter, she spent her life as a homemaker tending to her son's many bumps and bruises as they got into various shenanigans. 

She found years of excitement as a grandmother to Casey, Edward III, Lyndsey, and Matthew attending various plays and sporting events in support of her grandchildren. 

An active member of New City Seniors Club and St Augustine Church she had many friendships that she maintained until the very end. She found such joy as a devoted GiGi to Clare, Bryce, Cormac, Nora, and Colin, enjoying frequent Facetime calls and visits. Sylvia is predeceased by her parents Sylvia and Frank, brother Frank Jr, and loving husband Edward.

She is survived by her loving children, Edward, (Tracy), Peter, and (Cathy), grandchildren, Casey, (Ryan), Eddie, (Sally), Lyndsey, (Mike), Matt, and (Jaimie) and sister-in-law Louise Smith.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 Wednesday, August 23rd at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY
