Susan Lau

Yeuk Suen “Susan” Lau, loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She will be remembered for her warmth by the many people who knew her. Susan came to the U.S. from China in the 1960s and settled with her husband Yook F. Lau in Pearl River, NY. For many years, she and her husband were owners of the Golden Palace restaurant in Chester, NY. Susan loved a competitive game of tennis, taking on a new project and time spent with family and friends. Susan’s family was a source of great pride and happiness and holidays and dinners were filled with not just her great cooking but smiles, laughter and encouragement. Susan is preceded in death by her husband Yook and survived by her two sons Kans and Steven, her daughter-in-law Jennifer, her grandchildren: Andrew, Michael, Caroline, Sarah and Charlie; sister Sandy Lo, brothers David and Song and longtime companion Richard Dolson. Visiting hours are from 2-5pm on Sunday October 16, 2022 at Wyman- Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY.
