Stephen Morrissey

Stephen Michael Morrissey of New City, NY, formerly of Pearl River, NY, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 56 years old.

Stephen was born on September 11, 1968, at Good Samaritan Hospital to William and Catherine Morrissey (née Amado). He grew up in Pearl River, NY, and attended Pearl River schools.

In recent years, Stephen was a resident of the L’Dor residence in New City, NY. He will be remembered for his kind and good-natured spirit, his infectious smile, and the joy he brought to those around him. A devoted sports fan, Stephen especially loved cheering on the New York Mets and Giants. He also had a deep appreciation for good food.

Stephen is survived by his brother Garry and his wife Kim Morrissey, his sister Patricia and her husband Jim Stokes, his nephew Matthew and his wife Erica, and his niece Maria.
