Seraphine M Freise

Seraphine Margaret Freise of Pearl River, NY passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Hospice of Orange­­­ and Sullivan County in Newburgh, NY. She was 84 years of age. 

Seraphine (“Sally”) was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 6, 1939. She was educated in Hempstead, NY, graduated from her beloved Sacred Heart Academy, and later earned a diploma as a Dental Assistant. In 1961 she married Ernest Freise at St. Gregory Church in Brooklyn, NY. 

Seraphine will be remembered for her devotion to the Blessed Mother, her lovable disposition, sense of humor and her greatest joy teaching Sunday school to small children. 

Seraphine is survived by her sister Dr. Margaret Spinelli and brother-in-law Robert of New York, her nephews, Erik and Keith and her grandchildren Matthew and Danielle. 

Seraphine is predeceased by her husband Ernest Freise and her brother Stephen Spinelli. 

The funeral is at St. Aeden Church in Pearl River on January 6, 2024 at 10AM.
