Scott F Mitchell

Scott Frederick Mitchell of Spring Valley, NY formerly from New City, NY died on August 29th, 2022, at Nyack Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was 59 years old.

Scotty worked as a bartender for many years at Top Shelf Pub, Lauderdale’s and Facades. He was also the owner of The Players Club in Spring Valley, NY.

Scott was born May 7, 1963, in Battle Creek, Michigan where he was adopted by loving parents Herbert and Lois Mitchell in 1964 in Kalamazoo. He graduated from Clarkstown High School South Class of 1981. He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.

Scotty will be remembered for his generous heart, always being there for friends and family, especially his nieces and nephews and his dogs Harley and Marley. He always enjoyed music- most notably The Ramones, playing his many guitars, and shooting pool.

He is survived by his sister Gail (Mitchell) Loeffler and her husband John Loeffler of Pearl River, NY and their children Kevin, Courtney and Shannon Loeffler. His brother, Thomas Mitchell of Milford, Pennsylvania and his children Brittany, Benjamin and Samuel Mitchell.  Scott is predeceased by his parents Herbert R. Mitchell in 1989 and Lois H. Mitchell in 1991.

There will be a celebration of Scott’s life on October 1st, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Stephens Church located at 84 Ehrhardt Road in Pearl River, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
