Rosemarie McCarthy

Rosemarie McCarthy of Pearl River, NY passed away on September 4, 2022 at The Promenade at Blue Hill.  She was 88.
Mrs. McCarthy was a customer service representative for the New York Telephone Company in Manhattan, NY for 4 years before retiring in 1956.
Rosemarie was born September 7, 1933 in Manhattan, NY to Hugh and Mary (McAuley) McShane.  She was 1950 graduate of Cathedral High School. 
Mrs. McCarthy lived in Pearl River for the past 62 years before that she lived in the Bronx from 1955 to 1960. 
Mrs. McCarthy will be remembered for the love of her Irish heritage, her love of music and her nurturing love of family and friends and her sweet infectious smile that could light up any room. 
She is survived by four of her children, Colleen Shannon  and husband, Bill of Monroe, CT, Tim McCarthy and wife, Colleen of Mahwah, NJ, Noreen Morano and husband, Mike of New City, NY and  Regina Moore of Garnerville, NY.  She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her husband Dennis McCarthy 10/12/1990, son, Christopher McCarthy 7/10/2001 and son-in-law, Steven Moore 4/13/2022.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Aedan R. C. Church, Pearl River.  Burial will follow at Cemetery of the Ascension, Airmont, NY. Visiting is Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.  
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer Association 301 N. Main Street,  #7, New City, NY 10956.
