RoseAnne Frascello

RoseAnne "Nan" Frascello, 86, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 21, 1939, in Manhattan, New York, Nan was the beloved daughter of James McGuire of County Leitrim, Ireland, and Sarah McGuire (née Brennan) of County Roscommon, Ireland. Throughout her life, she was known for her deep faith, generous spirit, boundless energy, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Nan is survived by her children, Ann Conklin (Lee), Laura O'Connor (Jim Boonstra), Diane Frascello (Joel Johnson), Gina Dinnegan (Ed), and John Frascello (Maureen); her grandchildren, Jenna, Shannon, Jessica, Jonathan, Kevin, Kelly, Jack, Mark, Patrick, and Brennan; her eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Jim McGuire (Betty), Peggy Quercio, and Kevin McGuire (Debi); her dear friend of more than 60 years, Tese Sirakovsky; and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Sarah McGuire; her brother, Michael McGuire; and her brother-in-law, Joe Quercio.
Nan dedicated 32 years of service as a Teacher's Aide at Jesse J. Kaplan School. She was deeply committed to the students she worked with and found great satisfaction in helping them learn, grow, and succeed. Her dedication extended well beyond the classroom through her many years as a Special Olympics coach, where she devoted her time and energy to helping athletes develop confidence, skills, and friendships. She coached skiing, poly hockey, track and basketball, and took great pride in supporting and encouraging every athlete she worked with.
In recent years, Nan was blessed to spend a great deal of time with her great-grandchildren Shane, Paige, and Kane. She cherished being part of their lives, watching them grow, and creating memories with them. The happiness they brought her was evident to all who knew her.
A devoted Roman Catholic, Nan lived her faith through action. She served as both a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and embraced what her family affectionately referred to as her role as a "roaming Catholic," often attending Mass at different churches and finding community wherever she went. Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life.
Nan was especially proud of her role as a godmother, a responsibility she took very seriously. She remained actively involved in the lives of her godchildren, offering guidance, support, and unwavering love throughout the years.
Family was the center of Nan's world. She shared close relationships with her cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and took immense pride in their accomplishments and milestones. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate those she loved and made everyone feel special, valued, and supported.
Nan also shared a special bond with the extended Dinnegan and Sirakovsky families and was embraced as an important part of their lives. Whether it was holidays, birthdays, sporting events, graduations, or family celebrations, she was there. She treasured those relationships and found great happiness in sharing both life's milestones and everyday moments with the people she loved.
She was also blessed with wonderful neighbors and friends in Pearl River, whose friendship, kindness, and sense of community enriched her life for many years. Nan treasured those relationships and was grateful for the many laughs, conversations, and memories they shared.
To know Nan was to know someone who genuinely celebrated the people around her. She took great pride in the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, godchildren, family members, and friends, and was often their biggest cheerleader.
An avid sports fan, Nan could often be found cheering from the sidelines. She faithfully attended her children's, grandchildren's, and loved ones' sporting events and rarely passed up an opportunity to offer support and encouragement. She especially enjoyed basketball and remained deeply connected to the Special Olympics community throughout her life.
Nan lived an active and vibrant life. She was an avid swimmer, enjoyed practicing yoga, and loved gathering with friends for games of Mahjong and Canasta. She also enjoyed attending dances at the Irish Center, where she celebrated her Irish heritage and formed lasting friendships.
Travel was another of Nan's great passions. She embarked on numerous pilgrimages throughout her life, finding purpose, spiritual enrichment, and lasting memories through her travels and experiences.
Those who visited Nan's home were often greeted by a word that perfectly reflected the way she lived her life: "Joy." Displayed throughout her home, it served as a reminder of the gratitude, faith, and happiness she carried with her each day. She found joy in her family, friendships, faith, and the many people whose lives she touched.
Above all, Nan will be remembered for her generous heart, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to family and community. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness and love.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, New York. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church in New City, New York. Entombment will follow at St. Anthony's Mausoleum in Nanuet, New York.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Special Olympics.
Though she will be deeply missed, Nan's love, faith, and spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
