Robert Kennedy

Robert P. Kennedy of Nanuet, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. He was 90. He  worked as a Technical Manager for Mobil Oil in Brooklyn, NY., and was with the company for 37 years before retiring in 1993. 

Robert was born September 3, 1932 in Manhattan, NY to Francis and Ella (nee Rover) Kennedy.   He was educated in Manhattan and graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 1948. 

Bob  served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 attaining the rank of Corporal.  He earned a Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense metal.

On January 10, 1953 he married Joan Hallinan at St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Manhattan, NY.  He lived in Nanuet, NY for the past 50 years before that he lived in Fort Lee, NJ and Manhattan, NY. 

Bob will be remembered for his unwavering sense of humor and his devotion to his family. 

He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Mary Alice) Kennedy, daughter, Colleen (Michael) Marino and son, Brian (Dympna) Kennedy; grandchildren, Tara, Dan, Kerry, Jessica, Courtney, Michael, Kelly and Ashley as well as great grandchildren, Amy, Matthew, Haley and Quinn.  He is predeceased by his wife, Joan, brothers, Frank and Jack and sisters, Helen, Grace and Katherine.
