Regina Connelly Sullivan of Pearl River, NY passed away peacefully in her home Monday morning May, 31st 2021. She was 66 years old.
Regina was born in the Bronx, NY on 12/17/1954 to parents Raymond and Margaret (Sheehan) Connelly. Regina was the fifth of eight children and is predeceased by her sister Patricia (Chirles) and survived by siblings Maureen (Dowling), Raymond, Tommy, Margy (Munch), Kasey (Buhrmeister) and Chris.
Regina received her Associates degree from Harriman College in Monroe, NY before receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Mercy College then advancing to Fordham University for her Master’s in education. She taught for the NYC DOE for ten years before joining Clarkstown Central School District where she taught for fourteen years. She also devotedly taught CCD at St. Aedan’s for over fifteen years.
Regina was married to husband Bernard Sullivan for over 41 years with whom they share three children. Kimberli (Madden), Bernard and Regina as well as three grandchildren, Mikey, Shea and Quinn Madden.
Regina will be remembered for her loving smile, her career as a teacher and most importantly being a caring mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June, 2 from 2 pm- 4 pm and 7 pm-9 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 10 am at St. Aedan’s R.C. Church in Pearl River, NY.
