Phyllis Truiano, 81, of Nanuet, New York, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on July 9, 1944, in the Bronx, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Randazzo. Phyllis grew up in the Bronx and graduated from Grace H. Dodge Vocational High School, Class of 1962. Later in life, she returned to school, attending Rockland Community College and SUNY New Paltz while pursuing a career in nursing.

Phyllis dedicated her professional life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse at Phelps Memorial Hospital before continuing her career at Camp Venture, where she touched the lives of countless individuals through her compassion, kindness, and commitment to helping those in her care.

On March 12, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Truiano. Together they built a loving home and raised five children. Phyllis was a devoted and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who approached every day with grace, determination, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

Throughout her many health challenges, Phyllis never lost her remarkable spirit or her profound love for those around her. She faced life's difficulties with courage and resilience, inspiring everyone who knew her. Her family will forever carry forward her legacy of love, strength, compassion, and warmth.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Truiano; her children, Joseph R. Truiano (Christine), Andrew Truiano (Sandra), Judy Lyons (Seamus), Michael Truiano (Amanda), and Matthew Truiano (Nicole); her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Truiano; Jack, Aedan, and Logan Lyons; Giovanna, Alexa, and Giuseppe Truiano; Thomas, Marcus and Violet Truiano, Sammy, and Alex Truiano; and her sister, Theresa O'Brien.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Phyllis's life at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, 100 Franklin Avenue, Pearl River, NY 10965, on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Parish, 36 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
