Patricia A. Mills

Patricia A. Mills of Suffern, NY passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Montefiore Nyack Hospital with her family by her side.  She was 88 years old.

Mrs. Mills was born in Gotham Hospital, New York City on July 13, 1935 to Patrick and Viola (West) Wynne.  She moved to Spring Valley, NY with her family in 1944 and attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Spring Valley HS Class of 1952.

She went on to work for NY Telephone in Nyack, NY until her marriage to Fred Mills in 1955.  She settled in Hillcrest, NY to raise her family and returned to work in 1969 as a switchboard operator at the newly opened Bamberger’s/Macy’s in Nanuet, NY where she worked for 24 years. She then went on to work for Volvo in Rockleigh, NJ until her retirement.

Pat will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love of laughter, music and animals, and most of all her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be loved and missed forever. 

Patricia is survived by her two children, Colleen Mills Bonomolo (Robert) of Nanuet, and Brian Mills (Stephanie) of Montgomery, NY; five grandchildren, Brian Sheehan (Susan), Michael Mills (Erica), Kristy, Madison and Connor Mills and five great grandchildren, Molly and Mason Sheehan, Joseph Jeffords, and Landon and Hayden Mills. She is predeceased by her parents, former husband, Fred Mills and husband, Raymond Walsh.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday, June 24 at St. Anthony Shrine Church, Nanuet.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Visiting is Sunday, June 23 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
