Patricia M Kidd

Patricia M. Kidd, of Chester and formerly of Rockland County, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 94 years old.

Born on January 13, 1932, in Manhattan, Patricia was the daughter of Joseph Valley and Sarah Winchell. She built a life centered on faith, family, compassion, and service to others.

Mrs. Kidd worked as a key punch operator for Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc.  in Spring Valley for 28 years before retiring in 1994. She was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Patricia made her home in Chester for the past 39 years. Prior to that, she lived in West Nyack from 1981 to 1987 and in Chestnut Ridge from 1959 to 1981.

A devoted parishioner of St. John's Parish in Goshen, NY, Pat lived her faith through action and generosity. She served for more than 30 years as a Eucharistic minister at Good Samaritan Hospital and Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation. She was also a Columbiette in Rockland County and an active member of the Chester Golden Age Group.

Pat will be remembered for her graceful and kind nature, always placing the needs of others before her own. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling the world and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

She is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Linda; her daughter Susan and her husband Joseph; her grandchildren Katherine and her husband Rob, Todd and his wife Sarah, Joseph and his wife Katie, Bryan and his wife Marie, James, Johnny, Dan his wife, Christy, and Lindsay; her beloved great-grandchildren Willow, Jane, Maksim, Royal, Lionel, Max, Jade, Jaxon, Lennon, and Parker.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Sarah; her husbands, Joseph and Ben; her son Robert; and her granddaughter-in-law, Lauren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Shrine Church. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.
