Patricia Carson (née McQuade), a longtime resident of Pearl River, NY passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. Pat was born January 31, 1941 in Richmond Hill, NY to Matthew McQuade and Mary Carolan. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 1958. She married George A. Carson on January 21,1967 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Richmond Hill.
Pat was a resident of Pearl River for over 50 years. At various times, she was involved in the St. Margaret’s PTA, Pearl River Boy Scouts, Pearl River Little League, St. Aedan’s Church choir, and the Red Hat Society. She loved her job as a secretary for the Rockland County Family Courts, where she was respected for her unique combination of organizational and people skills. She spent her latter years as a founding member and active resident at Brightview Lake Tappan before moving to the Jewish Home at Rockleigh for long term care.
Pat will be remembered for her kindness and ability to make friends wherever she went. She always enjoyed a social event with friends or family, especially one that had music, dancing and, of course, lots of conversation. She was a devout Catholic and a loving wife, mother and Nana. She loved vacationing at the Jersey Shore with her grandkids and they always knew they could count on their Nana to listen to them and tell them stories. She had a lifelong love of music (especially Andrea Boccelli ) and Broadway theater. She was a cancer survivor and lived with heart disease and other illnesses for many years, but she never let that keep her down.
She is survived by her sons Matthew(Monica) of Suffern, NY, William(Gretchen) of Pearl River, NY, six grandchildren, Bryson, Ariana, Ethan, Kennedy, Cate & Billy, and her brother John McQuade(Doris) of Dallas, PA.
