Moira Quinn Relihan Obituary

Moira Quinn Relihan of Pearl River, NY passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023. She was 64 years old. Moira was born in the Bronx, NY and had a diverse career as both an Irish Dancing teacher and a Real Estate agent making quite an impact in both fields.  She was a “Commision Irish Dance Teacher” (TCRG) registered in Dublin, Ireland.  She challenged dancers to qualify and compete in the elite world championships of Irish Dancing with several schools in the Mid Atlantic region. As one of the top selling agents in Rockland County, she was a force to be reckoned with.

Moira is predeceased by her loving parents and long time Pearl River residents, Thomas J. Quinn, County Sligo, Ireland and Belinda C. McNamee, County Longford, Ireland. She is survived by her siblings, Geraldine Quinn Josephson (Michael Josephson) and Sean J. Quinn (Liana Sargsyan-Quinn). She married Sean G. Relihan, County Kerry, Ireland and was blessed with three beautiful children, Brandon (Jamie Leigh Brosnan Relihan), Christopher and Brianna. Moira recently became the proudest grandma to Riley Patrick Relihan. She is loved and adored by her nieces and nephews, Michael, Sheila (Joseph Mannino), James, Brian and Matthew Josephson. Audrey, Thomas, Deana and Zara Quinn, along with her grand nieces and nephews, Bear Quinn Josephson and Joseph, Siena and Savana Mannino.

Moira’s parents, Thomas & Belinda Quinn instilled the love of family, creating a strong bond with Ireland forming a lifelong connection with the Bradys, Sheahans, Burns, McNamees and Thomas Quinn’s ten siblings from Tubbercurry, County Sligo. As a first generation Irish American, Moira’s legacy and strength will live on through her children and grandchildren.

Moira’s love of sports began with her twin boys at an early age, as they excelled in soccer throughout their educational career. One of Moira’s greatest accomplishments and joys was watching her beautiful daughter, and best friend, grow into the intelligent and independent woman she is today. Moira’s energy, laughter, and sense of humor would light up any room she walked into followed by her biggest protector, her Mini Yorkie, Charlie. She was an inspiration to everyone who crossed her path… a true champion, fashion icon, avid sports fan, and the Rock Star to her entire family.
