Michael I. Galvin, of Nanuet, New York, formerly of Yonkers, New York, passed away on December 21, 2025. He was 78 years old.
Michael was born on July 31 in Yonkers, New York, to the late Thomas Galvin and Josephine (Murphy) Galvin. He was educated in Yonkers and graduated from Gorton High School in 1966.
Michael enjoyed a long and successful career in sales. He worked for Venice Maid Foods, where he rose to the position of National Sales Manager before retiring in 2001. Following his retirement, he continued his professional life in public service, serving as a Project Manager for the City of Yonkers until 2012.
In 1971, Michael married the love of his life, Marilyn Zeoli, at St. Frances Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx. Together they shared 54 devoted years of marriage, building a family rooted in love, loyalty, and friendship.
Michael was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He will be remembered for his warm hugs, his larger-than-life personality, and his ability to light up a room. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel like a friend, even on a first meeting. His loyalty to his family and friends was unwavering, and his greatest joy was his wife, children, and grandchildren, whom he adored deeply.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Galvin; his son, Michael Galvin, and his wife, Kristin; his son, Kevin Galvin; his daughter, Tricia Cullen, and her husband, Andy; his cherished grandchildren, Shane Cullen and Connor Galvin; and his brother, John Galvin, and his wife, Devera.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Galvin and Joseph Galvin.
Visitation will be held at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, New York, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, New York.
