Maureen T Liddy

Maureen T. Liddy (née Reidy), 81, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 7th, 2024.

A native of Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare, Ireland, Maureen is preceded in death by her loving husband and partner of 59 years, Francis (Frank).

Devoted mother to Frank (Kathleen), David (Christine), Kevin (Mimi), and Jeffrey.

A very proud Nana and Grandmother to Katie, Claire, Brendan, Megan, Ryan and David. And a beloved aunt and cousin to scores of Reidy's, McNulty's, and Liddy's in Ireland and around the world.

Her emigration from Ireland, faith, family, and naturalization as an American were the cornerstones of her life. Maureen and Frank’s journey together took them from the Bronx, back to their beloved Ireland, and then finally to Pearl River where they proudly served the community as co-owners and operators of the local 7-Eleven store for 15 years.

Her hospitality was legendary and Maureen will be missed by all whose lives she touched over the years.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, August 9th between 4-7 PM at the Wyman-Fisher funeral home in Pearl River. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 11 AM at St. Margaret’s R.C. Church in Pearl River, with interment to immediately follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet.

The family wishes to convey its deepest appreciation for the care and support provided at Cabrini of Westchester and Brightview Lake Tappan of Orangeburg, NY.

Flowers and/or memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Catholic Charites of New York are equally welcome.
