Mary Gill

Mary Ann Gill (nee Griffin), a longtime resident of Nanuet, NY passed away peacefully at Nyack Hospital on December 11, 2022 after a brief illness.  She was 87. 

Mary was born on April 15,1936 in Clohanes, County Clare to Delia and Frank Griffin.  She was the second of their eleven children. 

Mary is predeceased by Peter, her devoted husband of 60 years.  She was the beloved mother of Eileen (Mauro) Caputi, Mary (John) Sutera and Jackie Hughes; the cherished grandmother of Patrick (Kristen), Brian, Eddie, Bridget & Kiera and the adored great grandmother of Reagan and Patrick. She is also survived by her former son-in-law, Ed Byrne, her eight brothers and sisters, two sisters-in-law, and many loving nieces and nephews. 

Mary was a staunch Roman Catholic and she was devoted to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary.  Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her family was always her priority.  She also worked for many years as a housekeeper and caretaker. 

Mary is predeceased by her parents and her brothers, Francie and Tommy.
