Mary F. Prezioso of Pearl River, NY, a resident for over 70 years, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Danbury, CT. She was 98.
Mary worked as a lab assistant for Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY, during WW II. In the past, she had served Nyack Hospital as a volunteer nursing assistant, and with the American Cancer Society, transporting cancer patients to their chemotherapy appointments.
Mary was born September 19, 1921 in Norwalk, CT to Frederick G. Crombie and Mary Frances Elizabeth Kearney.
On July 1, 1945 she married Victor Prezioso at St. Joseph R. C. Church in Spring Valley, NY.
Mary was an auxiliary for the Military Order of the Purple Heart and VFW Post 7370 of Pearl River, NY Ladies Auxiliary.
Mary will be remembered for her smile, kind heart and love of family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Morris and husband, Kenneth of Danbury, CT, who she resided with at the time of her death; son, Victor James Prezioso and wife, Irene of Leesburg, FL; grandchildren, Stephen Krueger (Nicole) of Waterbury, CT, Amy Krueger of Naugatuck, CT, Jeanine Prezioso Scott (Christopher) of Oviedo, FL, Christina Brunning (Brian) of Orlando, FL, Nicole Sirdoreus (Marc) of Orlando, FL and John Bowden of Swansea, MA; great-grandchildren include, Jadyn and Marisa Watkins of Oviedo, FL and Zane and Piper Brunning of Orlando, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Victor Prezioso; sisters, Helen Boorom, Mildred Schlictman and Ruth Jean Crombie; brothers, Harold Crombie and William Crombie and grandson, James M. Prezioso.
