Mary C. Connolly

Mary C. Connolly of Pearl River, NY died on April 4, 2022 surrounded by her husband and children. Mary was born on January 24, 1932 to Henora and Edward Martin. Mary and her 3 siblings, ( Patricia, Thomas, and Edward who predeceased her) grew up on the Upper East Side of New York. Mary attended St. Vincent Ferre elementary school and Cathedral High School. On June 19, 1954 Mary married Joseph Connolly and settled in Flushing, NY with their three children, Joe, Brian and Kerri. Mary and Joe made wonderful friendships in Flushing, where Mary was known to be the best party planner. Mary was a homemaker for many years and after her children got older became an administrative assistant at Eutectic Corporation in Flushing. In 1998 Mary and Joe retired to Pearl River, NY. Mary loved musicals and frequently attended Broadway plays. She passed her love for the theatre to her three grandchildren and treated them to many Broadway and Radio City Christmas shows over the years. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph Connolly. Her children, Joseph(Maureen) Connolly and Kerri Ann(Kenneth) Kraetzer will miss her dearly. Her son Brian Connolly predeceased her in 2016. Mary was a loving grandma to Katie Kane, Joe Connolly and Maggie Wagner. Mary was blessed with four great-grandchildren; Jackson, Finn, Clara, Owen, who she delighted in. There were always a couple of dollars for ice cream when you saw Grandma Mary. Mary was a funny, smart, generous and loving woman, She was devoted to her family, and her faith in the Lord guided her life. Rest In Peace Mom.
