Mario Peter Doriguzzi

Mario Peter Doriguzzi “Pete” a lifelong resident of Pearl River, NY passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family, after a two-year battle with cancer on Thursday, August 26, 2021.  He was 83.
Mario Peter was born February 5, 1938 in Aimee, PA to Amerigo and Susan (nee Matteotti) Doriguzzi.  He was a graduate of Pearl River High School in 1956.  Pete was self-employed as owner operator of  Doriguzzi Excavating for over 50 years.  He was an avid golfer and a lifetime member of Blue Hill Golf Course. 
Pete is loved and survived by his wife of 63 years, Josephine “Peppy” (nee Ortiz), their four children, Tamara and husband, Anthony Alfieri, CaraSue and husband, Rick Sparks, Jodi and husband, Michael Boland and Robert Tate and long-term girlfriend, Donna; five grandchildren, Risa, Alannah, Meredith, Sarah and husband, Rob and Michael Jr.
Peter is predeceased by his grandson, Rio; parents, Amerigo and Susan Doriguzzi and three siblings, Robert, Amerigo (Lefty) and Louise Von Holt.
Visiting is Monday, August 30, 2021 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. Prayers will be said at 8:30 PM.
