Marie T Apicella

Marie Theresa Apicella of Pearl River, NY passed away peacefully into heaven on November 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving children. She was 93. Marie was born on August 30, 1930 to Andrea Orlando and Carmela Bruno in Manhattan NY. She attended Evander Childs High School in the Bronx and worked for the N.Y. Telephone Company.

 On June 3, 1951 she married the love of her life, Joseph Apicella. They started a family and moved to Pearl River where they built a beautiful life. Together they raised their three children and were blessed with seven grandchildren.

Marie worked retail at Bamberger’s and Annie Sez. She was a parishioner of St. Aedan’s Church, and member of the Ladies Guild, a member of The Pearl River Senior Club and attended Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, her pride and joy.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her four sisters, Margorie Peduto (Pat) , Agnes Lamarca, (Carmine) Eleanor Schultz (Harvey) and Lucille Orlando. She is survived by her children Joanne Crozier( Bruce), Steven Apicella (Noreen) and Lisa White(Joseph) and her grandchildren, Victoria Crozier, Nicholas, Christopher and Steven Apicella, Joseph (Kathy), Michael and Jaimie White, as well as her sister, Rita Parasiliti (Frank) and her extended Meadows Street Family.

Visitation will be Sunday Nov. 5 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Wyman Fisher Funeral Home and her funeral mass will be Monday Nov. 6 at 10 am at St. Aedan’s Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels Rockland or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
