Margaret Mary Steele

Margaret Mary Steele (nee Steele) of Pearl River, NY died after a long illness at home on Thursday, February 16, 2023.  She was 85 years old. 

Margaret was born in 1937 in Belfast, Northern Ireland to the late Daniel and Mary Steele. 

Margaret came to the United States in 1959 to marry the love of her life, Arthur Steele.  They lived in Brooklyn with their children and eventually moved to Pearl River in 1973.  Margaret was a stay at home mom who enjoyed taking care of her family. She will be sorely missed.

She is predeceased by her parents, sisters, Cathleen and Marie, and her daughter Maire. 

Margaret is survived by her husband Arthur of 62 years, children Anne Maroney (Michael) , Arthur Steele (Theresa), and Geraldine Steele.  Also, grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Brian Maroney, Colin and Caelen Steele, and her sister Geraldine O’Neill. 

Calling hours are Monday, February 20, 2023 from  3-5 and 7-9 PM at Wyman-Fisher, 100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River, NY, 10965.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10am at St. Aedan’s Church, 23 Reld Drive, Pearl River, NY, 10965
