Madeline V. Minetto of Montvale, NJ passed away peacefully Monday, July 13, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving granddaughters, Brett Beason and Christina Minetto Murphy. She was 94.
Madeline was born April 8, 1926 in Bronx, NY to Albert and Ida (DeLalla) Cafarella. On December 23, 1945 she married Joseph Mario Minetto.
Mrs. Minetto resided in Montvale for the last 17 years. Prior to that she lived in Wesley Hills NY, Spring Valley, NY and River Vale, NJ.
Mrs. Minetto owned and managed Holiday Horse Farm, later Holiday Homes in River Vale NJ with her husband. Prior to her marriage Mrs. Minetto was a fledgling actress and model, winning the title of Miss Bronx and was the first voice of Betty Boop in the 1930’s. After raising three children, Mindy Minetto, Scott Minetto and Mitchell Minetto and running a horse farm, Mrs. Minetto dealt in antiques and owned River Edge Antique Shop in New Milford, NJ in the 1970/1980’s.
She will be remembered for her love of the New York Yankees, as a season ticket holder for over 20 years.
She is survived by her loving granddaughters, Brett Beason of Charlotte, NC and Christina Murphy of New City, NY. While also being the matriarch of many other grandchildren and great grandchildren, Maddy was blessed to have her companions and caretakers, Nina Escobar and Mary Attoh. Madeline is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Minetto (1999), daughter, Mindy Minetto (2016), mother, Ida Cafarella (2001) and father, Albert Cafarella.
Interment will take place 11:00 AM Friday at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.
