Kevin Michael Lynch

We are heartbroken to announce the death of Kevin Michael Lynch, Pearl River High School Graduate, class of 1986. Kevin passed away on August 26, 2024, age 57.
Kevin was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 2, 1967 to Michael and Margaret (nee Ellis) Lynch.
Kevin was a member of NYPD. Kevin was hired to Housing on October 15, 1990. Laterally transferred to 46 pct in November 1992 and retired from BXTF in February 2004.
After retiring from the Police Department Kevin received his Bachelor's in Liberal Arts degree from SUNY Purchase.
Kevin was an animal enthusiast from an early age starting with his love of Bees as a child and his many furry friends throughout his lifetime. Kevin had a tremendous sense of humor and loved consuming large quantities of chocolate Ice cream. Kevin often played his guitar at various local open mics. Kevin enjoyed drawing, painting and writing song lyrics.
Kevin and family frequently visited their beach home in Corolla, NC. Kevin loved traveling, especially cruises. As a civil war enthusiast Kevin made it a purpose to visit many civil war sites.
Kevin was most happy playing golf, bowling and discussing music history and politics with his son Mike. Kevin adored his son and was proud of every one of Mike’s accomplishments.
Kevin is survived by his wife Laura (nee Ryan), his son Michael J. Lynch, his brother Michael Lynch, brother in law Andreas Wuerfel, mother in-law Maureen Ryan, brother in-law Peter Ryan, sisters in-law Jeanne Dickel (Stanley), Patricia Kessaris (Greg)nephews Paul Pollack (Jing), James and Liam McSwigin, Luke and William Kessaris, his niece Rachel Brandstein (Aaron), great nieces Rose and Lily Pollack, numerous cousins and friends, as well as Trapper, his beloved dog. 
Kevin is predeceased by his parents, Michael Lynch (Feb. 1977) and Margaret Lynch (July, 1985) his sister Maureen Lynch Pollack (Feb. 1985), and father in-law Jack Ryan.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Kevin's life on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home (100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River, New York) from 4:00pm-7:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on September 3, 2024 at St. Margaret's Church (115 W. Central Avenue, Pearl River, New York).
