Josephine F. (Hogg) Byrnes

Josephine F. Byrnes of Nanuet, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.  She was 93.

Josephine was born October 8, 1930 in Bronx, NY to Glenmore Hogg and Josephine Schabrun.

Mrs. Byrnes was a graduate of St. Benedict School in Bronx, NY and a 1948 graduate of Cathedral High School in Manhattan.

Josephine will be remembered for being a loving grandmother and doting on her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed slot machines and watching the PGA.  

She is survived by her son, Bryce G. Byrnes Jr.; her daughters, Mary Wilhelm (Richard) and Lisa Byrnes (Anthony Galante); her two grandsons, Richard III and Ryan and her brother, Alfred Hogg.  She is predeceased by her husband, Bryce G. Byrnes (1990) and her sister Grace M. Lichti (2021).

Visiting will be Tuesday February 6th from 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc. Pearl River, NY.  A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM, at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Pearl River.  Burial will be at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx.
