John A Keel

John A. Keel of Thiells, NY passed away Saturday September 11, 2021. He was 84. 

Mr. Keel worked as a Telecom Engineer for NYNEX in Valhalla, NY.  He was with the company for 35 years before retiring in 1991. 

John was born November 25, 1936 in Manhattan, NY to Joseph and Bridget (Molloy) Keel.  He was educated in Bronx, NY and graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School in 1954. 

Mr. Keel served in the United States Navy from 1954 to 1957 attaining the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. 

John will be remembered for the way he loved his family, his dry sense of humor and the pride he took in his home and work. 

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Keel of Pearl River, NY; son, John J. Keel and wife, Suzanne along with their children, Samantha and Audrey of Tappan, NY; son, Thomas Keel and wife, Tracey and their children, James and Thomas of Montvale, NJ. He is predeceased by his mother, Bridget Molloy Keel (1963) and his father, Joseph Keel (1969),

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at St. Margaret R.C. Church Pearl River.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Hawthorne, NY.
