John J. Gannon a 29 year resident of Valley Cottage, NY passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. He was 66.
John was a Letter Carrier for the USPS in Manhattan, NY for 36 years before retiring in 2010.
John was born February 28, 1954 in Bronx, NY to James and Mary (Moyna) Gannon.
Locally, he was a proud member of the A. O. H. Division 3, American Legion Post 329 and the Pearl River Elks.
John will be remembered for his quick wit, friendly smile and helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, son John, (Amanda) of Howell, NJ and sister, Maureen (Pete) Rees of Bellmore, NY.
He is predeceased by is sister, Kathleen Ahern of Bronx, NY and brother, James Gannon of Bronx, NY.
