John P Farley of Pearl River, NY died peacefully on Tuesday, July 29th at Friedwald Rehabilitation Center. He was 84. John was born May 9, 1941 in the Bronx to Helen and William Farley. He grew up at St. Agatha Home in Nanuet and attended Nyack High School. After high school he served his country faithfully and honorably as a serviceman in the United States Navy. John was a proud member of Steamfitters local 638 NYC.
John affectionately known as “Pop” will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of sports and coaching and his ability to always see the best in people.
John is survived by his devoted son John (Katherine) and his grandson Jonathan of Tappan, NY; daughters Elizabeth and Mary Farley
John is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, his parents and his siblings.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 1st from 4-7 at Wyman Fisher Funeral Home, Pearl River, NY. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 2nd at 10am at St. Margaret's Church, Pearl River, NY. Burial immediately following at Pearl River Cemetery, Pearl River, NY.
