John Crowe Obituary

John G. Crowe was born on January 5th 1943 in the Bronx, New York to John Jerome and Elizabeth Kennedy Crowe. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years  Kathleen, his sons John Michael (Julie) and Brian Christopher, along with his daughter Jean Marie (Andrew). He is also survived by his brother Michael (Judy), brother Paul (Carla), brother Thomas (Fran), sister Elizabeth Falco (Louis III) and his grandchildren (Ryan, Kimberly, Jack, Sean). He was also like a grandfather to his nephew Louis IV and his niece Lyndsay. He was a wonderful uncle to his six nieces. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton high school and served in the United States Navy from 1961-1963. He served the New York Police Department from 1965-1987 where he retired at the rank of Lieutenant. He then worked for the Department of Homeland Security and retired as a supervisory special agent in 2011. John lived with his wife and children in Pearl River, New York from 1967-2019. John enjoyed playing poker at casinos with his sister, going on cruises, vacationing with his family, a quality bottle of whiskey, and reminiscing about the old days. The consummate family man, John worked tirelessly and made great personal sacrifice throughout the years to ensure the success of the next generation of Crowe’s. John was a true warrior, beating cancer twice and battling a myriad of other serious health issues for the majority of his later life. John was a very proud man, but his friends and family are more proud to have known him. He will be greatly missed, but surely never forgotten.
