Obituary
Joanne V. Keill, formerly of Pearl River, NY and Oyster Bay, NY, died on May 21, 2023 at her home in Old Tappan, NJ. She was 94 years old.
Mrs. Keill had been a social worker in Pennsylvania before becoming a full-time homemaker and mother to four children.
Mrs. Keill was born in Rochester, NY to Victor and Margaret Veness of Waterloo, NY.
She was educated in Waterloo and then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1950 with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts.
On 9/2/1950, she married Stuart L. Keill, MD, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Waterloo, NY.
Mrs. Keill will be remembered by her love of dogs, sports, and her church.
She is survived by a son and three daughters: Elinor Moran, Patricia Keill, Brian Keill, and Victoria Keill, as well as eight grandchildren: Scott Moran, Gregory Moran, Kelly Keill, Kevin Keill, Alex LoRusso, James LoRusso, Matthew LoRusso and Steven LoRusso, and her newborn great-granddaughter Mackenzie Moran.
Family members who died earlier include her husband Dr. Stuart L. Keill (2012), and grandson Christopher Moran (2023).
The funeral will be Wednesday May 24, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Pearl River, NY. Interment will follow at a later date.
