Joanne Marie Crozier

Joanne Marie Crozier of Cornwall, NY passed away after her long battle with cancer on June 4th, 2024 surrounded by her family at Villa Marie Claire in Saddle River, New Jersey. She was 67 years old. Joanne was born May 6th, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Yonkers, NY to Joseph and Marie Apicella. She attended Pearl River schools and continued her education at Rockland Community College and majored in art.

On October 16th, 1999 she married the love of her life, Bruce Crozier at Gasho in Central Valley, New York. Joanne and Bruce bought a home in Cornwall, New York and have resided there for 27 years. Together, the made the joyous decision to adopt their daughter Victoria from Russia in 2002. Years later, they expanded their family to include Ziggy, who became her lovable, furry companion.

Joanne worked at A&P then Shoprite in Garnerville, NY for 45 years before retiring in Cornwall with her family.  In her off time, she enjoyed traveling to her vacation home in Toms River, NJ with her husband, and picking seashells on the beach. She continued with crafting over the years, and enjoyed many shopping sprees, getting her nails done and watching reality TV shows with her daughter.

Joanne was predeceased by her mother Marie and father Joseph and brother-in-law B Carl Crozier III. She is survived by her husband Bruce and her daughter Victoria (Alex) and her brother Steven Apicella (Noreen) and sister Lisa White (Joseph) and her niece and nephews. Her mother-in-law Elaine Lefever and her sister-in-law Michelle Davis (Carl) and her nieces and nephew.

The family would love to thank the wonderful healthcare professionals who cared for Joanne through her fight over the years.

Visitation will be Friday June 7th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at Wyman Fisher Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Villa Marie Claire Hospice Center.
