Joan E Casey

Joan E. Casey, age 95, of Nanuet, NY, formerly of Pearl River, NY,  passed away on July 1, 2026 under the care of her family.  She was born in Dublin, Ireland on April 6, 1931 to Michael and Margaret Coffey.  She was raised in Dublin with her 8 siblings.  Joan followed the love of her life, Paddy, to New York in 1958 and they were married in 1959.  They settled in the Bronx and raised their four daughters in Kingsbridge before moving to Riverdale in 1972.  In 1992 they moved to Pearl River.  Joan will be remembered for her vibrant personality and hospitality.  She loved to entertain and was an amazing cook.  She also loved to shop, not only for herself, but also for everyone she knew and took great care in making sure she wore the latest styles.   Joan leaves behind her four daughters, Margaret (Bob) McAuslan, Siobain (Tom) Enright, Tara (Ed) Irwin, and Fiona (George) Koroghlian along with her nine grandchildren, Tom (Jenna), Michael (Colleen), Eric (Kathleen), Kiera, Robbie, Jack, Claudia, Karina and Charlotte and her three great-grandsons, Austin, Rory and Jackson.  She is also survived by her sisters Betty, Trudy and Rita.  Joan is predeceased by her husband Paddy and siblings Michael, Brendan, Peggy, Mary and Breda.
