James P McGuinness Jr.

James McGuinness Jr, a long-time resident of Pearl River, NY passed away on February 19th 2025 after a thirteen-month battle with cancer surrounded by his family.  He was 56 years old.  Jim worked as a Parts Manager at BWM in Woodcliff Lake, NJ for many years. 

Jim was born on June 28th, 1968 in Manhattan to James McGuinness Sr and Joan McGuinness.  Jim McGuinness Jr lived in Pearl River for 51 years.

Jim will be remembered for his huge smile, welcoming nature, and loyalty to all of his friends and family.  He will be remembered for being an amazing husband, father, son, brother, cousin and best friend to many.  Jim was known for his many gatherings at his home which his friends and family always looked forward to.  He is greatly loved and will be missed tremendously. 

Jim is survived by his loving Wife Kimmarie, Son Jesse, Father James McGuinness (Claudia Crean),  Sister Kelly DePaolis (Robert Doremus), Niece’s Gianna DePaolis and Ava DePaolis,  Mother-in-Law Rochelle Prestipino, Aunt’s, Uncle’s, Cousin’s and many loving Friends.

Jim is predeceased by his Mother, Joan McGuinness and, Father-in-Law Frank Prestipino.

Calling hours are Sunday February 23rd from 3pm to 7pm at Wyman- Fisher funeral home.  The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday February 24th at 10am at St. Margaret’s in Pearl River, NY.  Burial to follow at St Anthony’s in Nanuet, NY.
