Jimmy Harding, of Pearl River, New York passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2020, at the age of 64. Born December 23, 1955, in the Bronx to James and Marilyn (Hennessy) Harding. His childhood in the Bronx was filled with wonderful experiences with his siblings that he loved to reminisce about. Jimmy graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and Iona College where he had many achievements as a football player. His love of summers at the beach led him to his true love, Susie (Lynch) Harding, whom he married on September 18, 1982. Jimmy is survived by his loving family. His wife of 37 years, Susie; his five children, Brian (Lauren), Danny, Jack (Casey), Erin, and Colleen (Tyler); his brothers and sister, Kevin (Maryellen), Susan Christiano (Vito), and Tommy (Eileen); his sister-in-law, Nancy Duggan (Dan); and his nephews and nieces. Jimmy had a great enthusiasm for life and made friends everywhere he went. He loved fishing in the sea, summers with his family in Highlands and Ocean Beach, swimming at the West Nyack Swim Club, talking with people, and marching in the Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day parade as a member of the AOH. His love of life was matched only by his love for his family. He would joyfully take the earliest train into work every morning, knowing it would allow him to be able to get back home to his family sooner. His family finds comfort in knowing that he made the most of every day, and their memories with him will endure forever. Visitation and a mass will be celebrated by the family. A Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 21 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
