Grace Lum of Pearl River, NY, a lifelong New York resident, died on October 9, 2024. She was 94.
Mrs. Lum worked as a district secretary for the telephone company in Westchester County. She was with the company for 25 years before retiring in the early 90’s.
Mrs. Grace Lum was born November 17, 1929 in the Bronx to Din Ning Chen and Wong See Chen.
She was educated in the Bronx and graduated from Evander Child’s High School in 1948.
On May 16, 1954, she married William Lum. Mrs. Grace Lum lived in Pearl River for the past 63 years.
Mrs. Grace Lum will be remembered for her love of her family, her easy-going personality, her volunteer work for Meals On Wheels and the women’s club, and her friendly nature.
She is survived by her four sons Ken, Jeff (Andrea), James, and Russ (Joy) and three grandchildren Christopher, Alexandra, and Laura.
Family members who died earlier include her beloved husband William “Willie” Lum on July 3, 2023 and her oldest son William “Billy” Lum, Jr on September 11, 2001.

The funeral is October 19, 2024 at Wyman Fisher located at 100 Franklin Avenue, Pearl River, NY. Interment will follow at the Rockland Cemetery.
