Gloria Murphy

                Gloria Murphy, of Monsey, New York, passed away peacefully at home on February 19th, 2023. She was 86 years old. She was born in the Bronx, New York to Edna (Grinka) and Bernard Klass on June 5th, 1936.

                She was an incredibly giving woman and always made sure that she had time to spend with her children and grandchildren. She was an administrative assistant at Lederle Laboratories and Pfizer. After retiring, she was a secretary for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pearl River, New York. She was lovingly referred to as, “The Church Lady.” She enjoyed traveling, especially with her best friend since third grade, Dolores Calafati. She loved her houseplants. Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.

                Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Robert Ricci, her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Anna Murphy and her grandchildren, Alysa Murphy, Christopher Ricci (Alyssa Taddeo), Andrew Ricci (Emily Ricci), and her favorite nephew, Charlie Klass.

                Calling hours are Thursday February 23rd, 2023 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, 100 Franklin Avenue, Pearl River NY 10965.

                Funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, February 24th, 2023 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 112 North Main Street, Pearl River, NY 10965
