Frederick C Detscher

Frederick C. Detscher of Pearl River, NY, passed on March 24, 2023 at The Willows at Ramapo in Suffern, NY.  He was 81. 

Mr. Detscher worked as a Maintenance Supply Clerk for Pan American Airlines in Queens, NY before retiring in 1991.  He was a member of the Teamsters in Queens, NY.

Frederick was born March 23, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY to Charles and Rose Detscher.  He was educated in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1960. 

On September 12, 1970 he married Lucille at St. Frances de Chantal R.C. Church in Bronx, NY.  He lived in Pearl River, NY for the past 28 years.  Before that, he lived in Ridgewood, Queens, NY from 1942 to 1993. 

Fred will be remembered for being outgoing, and being friendly to all.  He was a golfer who loved to shoot a round with his many friends.  His other interest was all things aeronautics.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Detscher; Pearl River, his two sisters in law, Catherine McGivern and Elizabeth Lawrence and his many nieces and nephews across the country. 

A  Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Friday, April 28, 2023 at St. Aedan R.C. Church, 23 Reld Drive Pearl River, NY.
