Frederick Howard Brockway

Frederick Howard Brockway of Washingtonville, NY, died on July 1st, 2021 at his home. He was 79 years old. Fred worked in sales for his entire career before retiring as a sales manager with Samsung in 2009. He was born on November 14th, 1941 in Manhattan, NY to Howard and Helene Borkowski Brockway. Fred served in the United States Navy on the USS Boston from 1961 to 1965, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. On June 6th, 1968 he married Janice Antolich in Flushing, NY. Fred lived in Washingtonville NY for the past 2 years. Before that he lived in Orangeville, PA from 2010 to 2019 and in Pearl River, NY from 1978 to 2010. Fred will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, his dedication to his family and a love for fishing. He is survived by: his wife Janice Brockway of Washingtonville, NY; his brother Howard Brockway of Hollywood FL; his son Mike Brockway of Washingtonville NY, daughter-in-law Carolyn Brockway and their children Michael Jr and Reagan; his son Dave Brockway of Tappan NY, daughter-in-law Jenny Brockway and their children Ellie and George. Fred was predeceased by his mother, Helene Brockway and brother Jimmy Brockway. A memorial will be held at the Son’s of Italy (46 Van Wyck Rd, Blauvelt, NY) on August 21st, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
