Falco Bucci

            Falco Bucci peacefully passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the age of 93.  Falco was born in Colledimacine in the region of Abruzzo, Italy.  He is survived by his loving wife, Rosaria of 57 years, son Ezio, wife Renee, son Sandro, wife Rosamarie.  Falco, affectionately known as Nonno was blessed with five grandchildren: Joseph, Nikki, Michael, Christopher and Carina. He is survived also by his brothers Rafaelle Pignetti in Australia and Emidio Pignetti in Italy as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

            Falco experienced a variety of opportunities in life having been fortunate to work in Italy, Switzerland and Argentina as a brick layer and stone mason.   Falco pridefully became a master of his craft.  In 1963 Falco and Rosaria settled in the United States after they were married in Italy.  Falco was immensely proud of this country and the opportunities that it afforded him to raise a family, buy a house turning it into a home that was continuously filled with family blessings.  He was employed as a construction worker throughout New York and by the US Coast Guard on Governor’s island toward the end of his career. Falco has enjoyed his retirement years helping his children renovate their homes, caring for his grandchildren, creating a garden and enjoying pasta! 

            Falco passed away at home in Pearl River, N.Y. having been surrounded by his family throughout the last several weeks.  He was assisted into his journey towards peace by United Hospice of Rockland. They truly do God's work. Our family is forever grateful to Dad and Mom's wonderful neighbors for their love and compassion throughout our ordeal.  They truly have been a wonderful extension of our family.

            Visitation will be held at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, N.Y. Tuesday, December 8, 2020 between 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  A Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aedan's Church in Pearl River, N.Y. followed by a Christian burial at St Anthony Cemetery in Nanuet, N.Y.
