Elizabeth A. Lavigne

Elizabeth A. Lavigne of Nanuet, NY passed away on June 21, 2022.  She was 85.
Mrs. Lavigne worked as a custodian for the Nanuet School District for over 32 years.
Elizabeth was born August 28, 1936 in Bronx, NY to William and Helen Brett Doherty.
She was educated in Pearl River, NY and graduated from Pearl River HS in 1955.
On December 29, 1956 she married Kenneth S. Lavigne at St. Margaret R. C. Church in Pearl River. 
Locally, she was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Blessed Mother Sodality,  Nanuet Teachers Association and life time member of the Nanuet PTA. 
She is survived by her son, Fred Lavigne of Nanuet, daughter, Rose (Efraim)  Mercado of Nanuet; grandchildren, Adrienne Cirigliano of Middletown, NY, Sabrina (Michael) Mercado of Haverstraw, NY, Shannon (Andrew) Pollack of Nanuet and Paul (Tiffany) Mercado of Chester, NY; great grandchildren, Santino Cirigliano of Middletown, Andrew, Alexis, Connor and Cadence Pollack of Nanuet, Dyllen White and Paizley Mercado of Chester. She is predeceased by her spouse, Kenneeth Lavigne (1990), sister, Helen Edsall (1993), daughter, Dorothy Moore (1998), brother, William Doherty (2006) son, William Moore (2012) and grandson, Danny Mercado (2013). 
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Anthony R. C. Church, Nanuet.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery.  Visiting is Friday from 4:00 to7:00 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
