Edward was born on February 12, 1937, in the small town of Ryot, Pennsylvania, to Elwood H. Reynolds and Lena Shaffer Reynolds. Raised with a hardworking spirit, Ed carried those qualities throughout his life.

After moving to New York, Ed met the love of his life, Maureen O’Leary, whom he adored from the moment they met. The two were married on February 15 1958, beginning a loving partnership that spanned 61 years. Together they built a warm and lively home in Pearl River, New York, where they raised their seven children.

Ed spent many years working alongside his brothers operating Chuck’s Exxon and Towing in Garnerville, New York. Known for his dedication, reliability, and generous nature, he was respected by all who knew him.

Above all else, Ed treasured his family. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense pride and happiness to his life. His love, guidance, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed.

During his life, Ed was an active member of the Pearl River Elks, reflecting his strong sense of community and friendship.

Edward was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maureen Reynolds; his parents, Elwood and Lena; his brothers, Glen Reynolds and Charles Reynolds; and his sister, Violet Mackel.

He is survived by his children: Stephen Reynolds of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Michael Reynolds (Laurie) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Edward Reynolds Jr. (Carol) of Leland, North Carolina; Patrick Reynolds (Suzanne) of Pearl River, New York; John Reynolds (Lisa) of Stony Point, New York; Teresa Rendina (Artie) of Leland, North Carolina; and Kenneth Reynolds of Stony Point, New York. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Edward is also survived by his brother, Elwood Jr. (Pat) of Pomona, New York; his sisters, Shirley Brown of Englewood, Tennessee, Betty (Jack) of Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania, and Esther Taylor of Stamford, Connecticut; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be private, and the family will announce a celebration of life at a later date.

Edward will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
