Donna Breen Clarke, of Orangeburg, NY, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Donna was born on December 28, 1937, at Gotham Hospital in New York City to Donald and Marie (Keller) Breen. She was a proud graduate of Marymount Academy and Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY. Donna began her teaching career at Marymount International School in Surrey, England, and later taught first grade in Mount Kisco, NY, when she married Joseph Clarke in June of 1962.
Over the years, Donna continued her passion for education, ultimately finding her true calling as a preschool teacher and director at the Nauraushaun Cooperative Nursery School, where she was fondly known as “Teacher Donna.”
Donna and Joe shared 60 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in July of 2022. Donna and Joe were active members of St. Aedan’s R.C. Church and the Pearl River community for over 50 years, spending the last 5 years as residents of Brightview Lake Tappan.
She is survived by her brother, Roger Breen (Ellen) of Atlantic Beach, FL; her three children, Kevin (Cory) of Great Falls, VA, Kerry Postupak of Morristown, NJ, and Megan (James) Farrell of Wyoming, PA; and her seven grandchildren: Shannon, Michael, James, Molly, Brendan, Emily, and Liam.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30 (4-7PM) at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 31 (10AM) at St. Aedan’s Church in Pearl River, NY, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
