Deborah Glisci Obituary

Deborah Glisci, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 14, 2026, at the age of 75.

Deborah, known affectionately as Debbi, was born on August 5, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Edwin and Rita (Schubart) Bodensiek. In 1959, her family moved to Pearl River, New York, where she grew up and made many cherished memories. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Languages from Elmira College in 1972.

Debbi built a successful career as the Director of Quality Assurance at Bowne Business Communications in Secaucus, New Jersey, a role she held for many years before retiring. In retirement, she devoted herself fully to the people and pastimes she loved most.

Debbi will be remembered for her loving smile, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found great joy in cooking and took special pleasure in preparing meals for those she loved. An avid reader with a lifelong love of books and word puzzles, she delighted in sharing her daily Wordle results with her family— small moments that reflected her playful spirit and connection to them.

Above all, she cherished time spent with her family, especially their treasured yearly summer vacations to Long Beach Island (LBI), which held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ronald Glisci; her son, Christopher Glisci; her daughter, Amanda Moran and her husband Keith, and their daughters, Bailey Rose and Alexandra, who were the light of Debbi's life. She is also survived by her brothers, Edwin Bodensiek Jr. and William Bodensiek, along with many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Debbi was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Barbara MacDonnell.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 18, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, located at 100 Franklin Avenue, Pearl River, NY.

Debbi’s kindness, love, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
