It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Smyth, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who left us peacefully on March 26, 2024.
Born in Belfast, Ireland and raised in the lush landscapes of County Down, Daniel's early years by the Royal County Down golf course sparked a lifelong passion for the game. His love for golf was only matched by his love for his homeland of Ireland, a place he carried in his heart through all his years.
A man of kindness and warmth, Daniel was the pillar of our family. He served dutifully in the US Air Force, a testament to his strength and commitment. At home, he was the embodiment of love and support, always there for his two children and their families during times of need. His resourcefulness and handiness ensured that not only the hearts within but also the walls of his home were well cared for. His absence will be profoundly felt by his sister, daughter, son, and grandchildren, who will miss his guiding light and gentle presence.
As we bid farewell to Daniel, we hold onto the memories of his accepting nature, his warm embrace, and the shared moments that will forever be a part of us. May he rest in peace as he finds his place among the green fairways he so adored.
