Daniel E Barry Sr.

On the morning of September 10th Daniel E Barry Sr. died at the age of 85.  Daniel was born in Jersey City, NJ in 1935 and was educated at St Aloysius, the US Army and St. Peter's University. 
 

He married Patricia Barry and raised 4 children in Rockaway, NY and Pearl River, NY. 
Daniel worked in the banking industry for many years, owned a Computerland store and worked the remainder of his work years for the County of Rockland.
 
He volunteered for many organizations, called bingo at St. Margaret’s for years and was a long time member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, where he and Patricia were honored on several occasions for their dedication. 
 
He was known for his curiosity, of people, of technology and of history, while always being able to make people laugh.

He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia.  He is survived by his four children, Patrick (Joann), Meg, Chris (Kim) and Danny (Kris); his 9 Grandchildren; Beth, Patrick, Caitlin, Madelyn, Tyler, Tristan, Daniel, Michael and Liam , 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly. 

A public memorial service will be held at Wyman Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River on October 17th from 4pm- 7pm. A private family service and burial will take place on Monday October 19th.
