Christopher Pinotti Obituary

Christopher Pinotti, a beloved husband, active community member and longtime resident of Pearl River, NY, died suddenly at home on Thursday, January 19, 2022. He was 69 years old.

A fourth-generation Pearl River native, Chris was born on May 27, 1952 to Aldo and Jean (Bertussi) Pinotti. Chris grew up spending many weekends working on his family’s farm in Galilee, Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed hunting with his father.

After graduating from Pearl River High School in 1970, Chris studied automotive repair at Lincoln Tech. A car aficionado, Chris spent his early adulthood running his own auto repair business in Hillsdale, N.J. Later in life, Chris worked as a machinist at American Cyanamid, dedicating over 20 years to Lederle Laboratories.

In 2000, Chris met the love of his life, Maureen Brennan, who he married four years later. The couple spent more than 17 years happily married, adding a fur baby in 2008.

Chris was a friend to many and was always there to lend a helping hand. His dedication for giving back started at a young age. He joined Pearl River Hook & Ladder as a teenager, where he was a volunteer firefighter for more than 20 years and became a lifetime member. Chris also dedicated more than 15 years to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

A familiar face around town, Chris spent many mornings at Dunkin’ Donuts with his buddies and several evenings at cruise nights at local parks. He was a member of the Pearl River Gun Club and several car clubs, including various Model T and Model A groups and the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.

Chris was an old soul who had a passion for estate sales and restoring antique cars. The only thing Chris loved more than his hobbies was his wife Maureen and “little girl” Audrey.

Chris is survived by his wife, Maureen; his puppy, Audrey; his aunt, Anne Morrison; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas Brennan, John and Mary Brennan, Patricia Brennan and Kevin McCormack; his nieces and nephew, Erin and James Jacobsen, Lauren and Anthony Don, Kaitlyn Brennan, Ryan Brennan and Colleen Brennan; his grandnieces, Madison and Charlotte Jacobsen; and many Bertussi and Zavatone cousins.

Chris is predeceased by his parents, Aldo and Jean (Bertussi) Pinotti.
