Christopher Carroll

Christopher Michael Carroll of Pearl River, NY, died of complications related to dementia on December 19, 2022. He was one day shy of his 73rd birthday. Chris was born in the Bronx to Michael and Bridget (Kelly) of Ireland. Chris excelled in academics and graduated from All Hallows High School. He went on to receive a Master's degree at Fordham University. After taking a job at the Journal News he met Margaret Dolan. They married and moved to Pearl River. Chris remained in the newspaper business until his retirement from The NY Times in 2016. He enjoyed simple pursuits such as reading, listening to records, following the Yankees and spending time with his family. Chris is beloved and survived by his wife, Margaret, his daughter, Elizabeth and her son, Jack, his son, James and his wife, Elizabeth and their children, Laura and Michael, his daughter, Katherine and her sons, CJ and Troy, and his brother, Daniel.
