Brenda (Carson) Keller passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026 after a long illness.
Brenda was born in Queens, New York to John and Barbara Carson. She grew up in Pearl River, New York where she attended St. Margaret of Antioch School and went on to graduate from Pearl River High School.
She was a Master Gardener at Cooperative Extension of Rockland County and then went on to work for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She was also self-employed as an artist; her murals still grace many local homes.
Brenda lived in Toms River, New Jersey for the past 10 years. Even so, she never lost her love for her hometown of Pearl River and maintained her many friendships there. She will be remembered for her zany sense of humor, fun-loving nature, and her mastery of a good prank. She embraced her legacy as "Ballpoint Brenda" as well as her "beautiful wickedness" to everyone's delight.
She is survived by her daughter Kaitlyn Roberts (Douglas) and her son William. She is also survived by her sisters Debora Hanzus (Keith) and Sheila Breunig (Robert), her brother John (Eileen), as well as many nieces and nephews who loved their "fun aunt." She was predeceased by her parents, and sisters Susan and Kerri.
Visiting hours will be at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home, 100 Franklin Ave, Pearl River, NY on Tuesday, May 19th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret's Church, 115 West Central Ave, Pearl River, NY on Wednesday, May 20th at 11am.
